We sit here and argue all day and night about politics and then we keep re-electing the same crooks over and over. Is it no wonder they don't represent us?

Because no one truly honorable has ever run... That goes to both sides of the aisles (Rep-Dem)...

Politicians are just a bunch of glad-handing weasels with a pearly smile ready to spoon feed you what you want to hear.

Well, I kind of have to look at like this. I'm not the Amazing Kreskin. I don't have any way of knowing, ever, what promises are going to be kept by which candidate. About six months before the convention, the mudslinging becomes so thick it begins to choke all of us. We get to a point where we make a decision to stand with one candidate and for most of us, in order to do so, we have to feel that we can have some trust in that man, or woman. I think ,deep down, everyone knows that every politican tells some whoppers. We pay attention, we look for those who think like us, and hope for the best when it comes to fulfillment of promises made. What else should we do? Do you think there is a Presidential candidate out there who is so honest and so above board that none of this applies to them? I've yet to see a politican like that.

Because Americans are naive enough to vote for someone just because they promise something. I wouldn't be suprised if some politician promised he could chang the climate...oh wait, someone already has.

Until Americans start changing the way they vote, or until the system is changed, this will continue. Also, some people are just never satisfied and ALWAYS, ALWAYS find something to cry about.

All politicians are crooks... you end up with trying to decide who is the lesser of evils. Unfortunately, some times the choices all suck, but you still need to be heard.

I think what happens in when new blood actually gets into power, they get ganged up on. And then their ideals go out the window.

Because as soon as they're going to get things done, people are whining about another problem that needs to be fixed. Not everything will be accomplished at once...
