Why do you need to tell them?? Would you tell them that you are dating a WHITE guy? or would you just say you are dating a guy? If they say he's black!.. simply look at them and say yeah i noticed, but I don't think he minds that you are white.. and go on talking about something else.. If they continue to raise a stink, sit down calmly and ask them to explain why they hate black people.. and would they be ok if you asked him over and they can explain their feeling to him.. They probably will say no but your point will be well taken... Oh and by the way.. I'm a white parent..

As someone with the same experience as you (my parents would flip out), my suggestion is not to mention it, unless it is getting serious. There is no reason to upset them, before it's necessary.
Then again, I am an adult, and do not live with my parents. If you are still living at home, it will be more difficult.

Tell them. It is your life not theirs. And no one likes to be a dirty little secret. If you pln on getting serious with him, you are gonna have to tell them anyway.You minus well jump the hurdle now, so you have time to deal with it ow instead of when you are engaged.

If you're over 18, who cares. If you're under 18 and they're open minded, introduce him. If they're racist or closed minded, bring it up as a hypothetical situation. Gauge their reaction, and go from there

first of all, race has nothing to do with anything. its just a color. color dont matter, loved does. and it doesnt matter what your parents think, cuz YOU are the one dating him, not ur mom or dad. ur parents dont know him, and it sounds to me their kinda racist.

I think you should still go out with him, because it's your life, your feelings and not theirs. I believe that you should just go and leave thier opinions on theirs but keep your own feelings because i's your life. =]
