you have a serious sleep disorder and MUST consult a doctor. If he does not get help for you don't give up try another doctor. Please make an appt. I , like you sorta see waves of color. Mostly purple. Mine is beautiful and as fascinating as a kaleidoscope. In the mean time look up what you just told us on Webmd for some answers. There is treatment for this. You deserve peaceful sleep.

I get this at least once a week while either sleping in bed or having a nap on the chair. I feel that I am falling off something it depends what i am dreaming, am awakened by my body jolting, its the only word i can think of. I also dream that i am being chased or i am chasing after someone who stole my wifes bag etc, I also have dreams where I was in at least 2 of my old jobs and people were rushing me, when i waken up I am shattered and can feel my pulse throbbing in my head.

On 4 distinct occasions while napping in my bed I felt someone grab my ankles and jumped up and no one was there . I had been sleeping but could feel the hands till I flipped over in bed and looked around ! My door was closed with no one else in the house so I'm not sure if it was a dream or real .

It is a perfectly natural feeling. It can also occur as you wake up in the morning- often i seem to bounce awake, it is completely harmless, but can be a bit annoying. It is simply a muscular spasm, or twitch, so stop worrying, and get some rest.

I'm not really sure, since this has never happened to me before. You should go see a doctor about it. Good luck.

Yes, sometimes. It's perfectly normal to have this 'falling sensation'.
