What causes this to happen... I am 6 months pregnant, so I don't know if it has anything to do with it or not, but my eye lids, and underneath my eyes (the skin all the way around them) is yellow.. like a dr.. yellow... almost a yellow orange..
I have tried to look this up but cannot find anything yet about it.... I have only been noticing this the past 2 months maybe.. and have not dealt with this before... and it is very noticeable.. I try to use makeup to hide it which works ok, but not good enough.... I have not been hit nor is it any kind of bruising.... Thanks for any responses!!!

This is a site about jaundice it also has a photo for you too see. You should see a Dr but until then sit in the sunlight. My daughter was in the hospital for Jaundice under the Bilirubin lights but we were told to place her in the sun at first. Sunlight is a good source for Vitamin D.

This kind of sounds like that one thing called Yellow Jaundice? It's when ur skin turns yellow. But I am not sure what causes this! You should definitely talk to your doctor about this! Good luck hun!

Have you mentioned this to your doctor at all? This is something your doctor should know about as it might be an indication of some type of liver damage. Yellowing of the skin is generally called jaundice and is generally an indication of liver damage. See your doctor soon.

I know that my skin went crazy when I was pregnant. From acne to red blotchyness... it just wasn't normal. I'm sure that it's just another side effect of pregnancy, but I would talk to a doctor just the same. Wouldn't want to take any chances being sick while pregnant.

well...if you havent asked your doctor you probably should. It could be Jaundice which causes yellow eyes. I has someting to do with the liver.

yellowing of the eyes and skin is a sign of jaundice it is a common problem with expectant mums and newborns i myself and my kids have had it it is not a major thing to worry about exposing your skin to daylight will help your next antinatal apointment you should say to your gp or midwife

that sounds like Jaundice! It happens when I think it's your liver or kidneys isn't working well. You need to call your doctor ASAP!

Please, contact you doctor! Maybe it's not any serious, but it can be. The doctor will propably make some tests, to make sure, you are totally healthy.
If it's just a "symptom" of your pregnancy, you don't have to wait a lot...
Be patient, maybe only you feel it to be so bad, others can't perceive...

sounds like you need sleep not getting sleep will cause something similar please ask your doctor as this can also be a sign of liver failure
