Everything i do is very sticky, like when windows minimize and maximize they stutter up and down and dont move smoothly, when i open the windows menu it looks like stop motion...How can i smooth things out? theres no other software running except for mozilla and MSN messenger

Did it run fast before? If it did I believe that you may have some spy ware or a nasty case of a virus. I would try a free scan of Trend Micros House call:

This found a lot of bad stuff in my computer and made it run faster. Hopefully it will have the same results for you.

Hello! I think you've gotten some good advice, but I'm curious. How much SDRAM do you have? You might could benefit from having more SDRAM on your system so there's more available to use. You may want to get something for registry errors and such ones that are broken or what not. There are several freeware apps that will do this. So try this and see if it helps, but aside from that beefing up your RAM will help as well checking out programs running you don't need. Good luck.

you might have background programs running. Look in your system tray and see if there's anything there that isn't needed
If your machine is just old, that could be the problem right there.
