i hope this helps... i'm a stylist/designer by hobby.

i'm going to use this grading system (lol):
check minus= yeah, it's an outfit, but it's boring.
check= i guess it works, but it's missing something.
check plus= very cute; i'll allow it.

the first outfit is cute if you're just out chillin with some friends. it looks comfortable and it matches. check.

the second outfit, however, looks like you're trying to do too much but not enough at the same time. check minus. the top is gray, the tank is baby blue, the jeans are a light wash. too many light colors, so you have nothing to play around/accessorize with. i'd keep the gray top because it's so cute, but change the color of the tank to give the top more depth (if you want blue, try something like navy or a bold color that helps the gray pop more, like coral or cerulean). then you can try some oversized beads (necklace) and matching stud earrings to match the tank. the jeans are all wrong for the outfit. the wrong wash, the wrong cut. get a darker colored wash because once again, it will add more flavor to the gray top and the tank will help it to pop out more. as for the cut, skinny jeans work best with that gray top, so try those. for more flavor, add some cute flats (pointed toe or mary-jane style oval toe). then the outfit will definitely be a check plus.

the third outfit doesn't even look like it belongs together. you have a long-torso top with a mini. check minus times 100. with that top, skinny jeans would work very nicely because both the top and the jeans will make you look taller by elongating your torso and your legs. the mini will show more legs, but probably make you look shorter because of its length. now, if you really want to wear the mini, try wearing some leggings and a shirt that meets your hip. try wearing a belt around the high waist area to accentuate your curves (or create curves that you may not have), but pick a color that you're not wearing for the belt, and make sure it's a thick belt, not one that will fit through belt loops. then you will be at check plus status.

personally, i would do some type of oxford shirt (white) with a black and white polka-dotted thick belt, the mini, and black leggings with a skinny heel or a cute flat. this season it's not all about matching colors, it's about matching textures and fabrics, and experimenting with different styles. also, be creative with your accessories because they bring out your personality and will help you to stand out instead of blending into what everyone else has on.

The first outfit is cute, the second one would be somewhere close to a disaster (wear the two tops seperately, NOT together, and the grey one isn't that great), the third one is good, but the skirt would look better with leggings underneath. Find some good jewelry to go with it too :)

i'm extremely sorry for declaring this, and that i do not opt for to go back for the period of as advise, yet i'm merely going to be honest. i imagine that outfit is quite youthful searching. i'm 19 and imagine it seems even too youthful for me. I see clothing akin to that on a daily basis and this is continually worn on extremely youthful females (like pre-adolescents). The shoes are the significant problem, as residences will be worn via all of us, in spite of age, yet there are lots of extra flattering kinds and kinds than polkerdots. i extremely love that accurate, and imagine that would look fantastic and a lot less 'youthful' paired with magnificent darkish denims or pants. I agree that your age shouldn't dictate what you placed on - to three volume. there's a line and that i see it crossed all too a lot and maximum people of the time it seems extremely 'try-demanding'. via the way, 37 continues to be extremely youthful, and there are a great number of chic concepts that you need to placed on with out searching frumpy and previous!

All of them are GREAT! But since its close to summer, you need to SHINE OUT! Wear bright sunny colors like orange, light green, or yellow! Mainly wear sleeveless dresses, shorts, and other stuff that hits summer. Like the miniskirt up there!
