A visit to your local neighborhood hardware store is in order. They will fix you up with the eyebolt, lead sleeve, and the correct sized masonry bit. Make sure you drill into a mortar joint and not into the face of a brick. If you have a hammer drill, it will drill the hole in seconds. Since you only have one hole to drill, a regular drill should do the job, although it will take longer. Make sure the hole is drilled deep enough to accomodate the eyebolt threads. Insert the lead sleeve and tap it into the hole with a hammer if necessary. The threads of the eyebolt will quickly grip the soft lead of the sleeve and secure the bolt in place as the sleeve expands inside the hole. You might want to insert a large screwdriver through the eye of the bolt to give you leverage when screwing it in the sleeve. There can be a fair amount of resistance. It is a simple job, if you have the correctly sized components.
Good luck with your project.

RE:
Screwing Eye Bolts Into Brick Wall?
What's the best way to screw an eye bolt into a brick wall to make it sturdy enough to tie dogs for grooming? What materials do I need?

Some "dyna" bolts come with eye bolt fixing however given the size of the awing and it's exposure I'd use a stainless steel chemical anchor system ( ask about them at the hardware store) Things to watch out for are [1] how solid is the brickwork [2] the condition of the mortar edit don't use any fixings under 3/8 inch thick
