i'm trying to find the cheapest way to get a PS2 to work in my room..right now, all i have is a computer with no video/sound/graphics cards, and a monitor with no special outlets...

I looked online and found some tv tuners that say they can play videogames, but they have this cable outlet thingy with a lot of different wires in them, instead of the red/white/yellow cables that are on TV's. I'm not sure how that connects to a PS2 since its not the red/white/yellow cables that come with the PS2..so i guess theres supposed to be some kind of other adapter/cable i need?

soo..if i do get the TV tuner, and the cable, then would it just be cheaper to buy a small TV?

A tv tuner card could set you back about $200. For less than that you could buy a tv.

Well if you have the AV cables and have AV on your TV why can't you hook it up that way? Anyway what you are thinking of as far as the other cable is like the RF adapter.

You'll be alot better off just buying a tv, it'll make things alot easier and cost the same if not a lot cheaper.
