I have a area in my yard that is crying out to be fixed. There is a tree and i want to plant some flowers around it and contine around the flower bed with various flowers. Can anyone tell me what flowers would be good for a partial-shade flower bed for Alabama?

i live in a similar area and have tried the same thing with fantastic results, impatience in several colors are a great fix for your problem, they can handle the weather in your area, easy to care for look great, grow well in poor conditions, i mean they will grow about 18" to 2ft and be so pretty all your friends will give you cu dos.

Azaleas, ferns, gloxinia, tuberous begonias, rex begonias, hydrangea; basically, any partial-shade plant. If you are near a large garden center, they will have certified nurserymen who can advise you.

Azaleas.marigolds, petunias,or rows of all the above,be sure to check sizes though, and water and fertilizer can make them grow larger also.
