I don't think you get out much. You should consider getting more involved in meeting some people outside of your social circle and watching less FOX News. Liberals have varied interests and goals for government. Try talking with some new people, listening to the reasons behind the talk. I think you will find that most "liberals" desire smaller government too. Don't be a hater.

Because liberalism is just another word for socialism. Everyone has to chip in to take care of those that can't or won't take care of themselves. Everyone but them that is. The taxpayer has to keep pay out more and more but it will never be enough for the socialist liberal philosophy.

the very reason that government exists is that we collectively decided that some duties can be better served by paying taxes so the government can take care of them for us, I certainly don't think the government should take care of "everything" and I doubt many people do, but I don't pay taxes for the government to do nothing with the money I give them either, I expect to see some benefit from the money I give the government

Liberals do not want the government to take care of their needs. Being liberal simply means being able to see different perspectives and accept differences and embrace the diversity that is among us. Liberals in fact want the governmetn to get out of their personal lives. It is the right-wing conservative Republicans catering to Christian fundamentalists who want to have a government that tells us what to do, including who to get married to and who we should love. "Conservatives" are just ignorant and uneducated biggots in disguise.

because they know more than anyone due to their multiple ecstasy and LSD trips..

nothing makes you smarter than poisoning yourself.

it came to them while they were tripping at their last elite only cocktail party,

they wouldn't have to feel so guilty for living so well if they throw their own country under the bus. THIS IS THE LIBERAL CODE OF ARMS.

They don't.

Why do Conservatives think government should do things to advance business interests (oil company subsidies, etc) with tax payer money.

because we acknowledge that there are other people in the world that need help from the government and we are not selfishly thinking about our own monetary needs.
