Does anyone know if Dannilynne Smiths' name was something else prior to the death of Daniel Smith ?

NO, because she was born 3 days before Daniel died. So maybe she wanted to have kids that star with the name Dan

Found out for you the baby was born with the name Hannibel Rose on Sept 7, 2006 so, she was renamed.

She was not renamed. Her name was given to her after Daneil died. She did not have a name before. He died three days after her sister's birth. Her name is Daniellyn.

i'm pretty sure that was the case. her only son, the one person who didn't judge her and loved her unconditionally passed away in the hospital room and in honor of her beloved son she named her daughter dannilynn because danni would be for daniel and lynn is her middle name.

i think she was named Hope before daniel died, then they changed her name to dannielyn Hope
