They do it because when a child is very young it is easy for them to learn more than one language. It is supposed to be very good for them. Hope this helps.
I must admit I tend to stray from them too. I don't like how other languages are shoved down our throats all the time. I would like the know what they are saying before I let my child learn it. Just MY opinion though.

They do this because babies up to the age of 3 absorb more information then any other age group. They are sponges and they can pick up on the languages. My son learned a lot of sign language from the Baby Einsteins. They are great. Your baby will love these movies and you don't have to play in the other languages if you don't want to.

I think it's great that baby einstein makes toys with many languages. There are a lot of people that don't just speak english...and they deserve to buy toys for their bilingual babies, don't they?!

Babies are able to learn faster than older kids and adults. They can take in more information than adults can and remember it. Baby Einstein products are very good for children.

Different languages open their minds more to different sounds thus widening their brain power to be able to learn more about anything in general. My children (who are 3) have greatly benefitted from hearing different languages. They can understand basic spanish, french, and sign language -PLUS- their grasp of English is amazing. I'm a firm believer in exposing your baby to many different languages, styles, cultures, etc. I believe well-rounded experiences will contribute to a well-rounded person who fully understands that there is more to life than 'their world' alone.

Babies have a higher learning capacity. They absorb things like little sponges. Try purchasing one of the videos in another language just to see how your baby responds.

ive been bilingual since i could speak, i dont have a problem with either language.. infact knowing two languages so well helps with IQ, and other stuff, its more of a brain simulator because it helps the baby learn to distinguish sounds better, there brains are little sponges that have an unlimited absorbancy rate.. babies dont get confused... they just GREAT learners
