Build Ships Without Losing Energy:
----------------------------------
If you need more fleets, but your systems read low
or slots are out of available energy, change the
location of the construction to a neutral system
(it can be inhabited or uninhabited). The ship will
still have a cost in maintenance and refined points,
but it will save energy.
See What They See:
------------------
While in a battle, highlight any ship and hit Tab to
get first person view point of that ship.
How to keep Captured Characters From Escaping:
----------------------------------------------
When capturing enemies, it's always best to gang up on
them with several good "name" characters, like Han,
Luke, Madine, etc. Use a decoy. Have some (usually 2-3)
Infiltrators or Death Commandos standing by at your
return base. When you're successful, transfer the
prisoner with the Infiltrators/Commandos to the
FURTHEST POSSIBLE BASE from where you are. Try picking
a base with a big allotment of troop training facilities.
Once the troops arrive (R2 will announce because the
prisoner is a "character"), send them to another base
you've set up on the opposite side of the galaxy.
Try shooting for a base with similar qualities at least
100 days away. If you nab the Emperor or Vader, it might
be worth your while to put at least 12 Infiltrators with them.
Here's the trick:
-----------------
unless the destination is taken over by the enemy, the
secret mission is out of touch until it reaches it's
destination. With enough troops and SpecOps at the other
end, and with an immediate launch back to where they just
came from, they'll never escape. I've played games where
I've had 24 of the enemy's 30 characters "in transit" and
unable to escape (with 5 dead and only Vader eluding capture).
First person view:
------------------
Highlight a ship during a battle and press [Tab].
Easy Fighter Killing:
---------------------
This is for places like Coruscant where there are a lot
of fighters. Get a fleet really close to the enemy system.
This fleet should have 2 Corellian Corvettes and 1 Escort
Frigate (Nebulon B's if you have them) but NO FIGHTERS.
Jump into the enemy system and unpause. When the enemy
fighters start moving, pause and jump into hyperspace.
The fighters will have reached you and exchanged shots.
If you were quick enough they won't damage you but their
squad size will be reduced. Repeat as needed.
Fast start for the rebels:
--------------------------
The empire allways begins with a planet that supports the
rebellion, but is subjugated by a big garrison of ground
troops. if you gather a large fleet with several fighter
squadrons and put a commander with high leadership and
combat (Han Solo or Wedge Antilles) you can easily
blockade the planet. Then promote the commander to admiral
status. Then bombard the imperial miltary units. Once you
have destroyed all imperial units the planet automatically
joins the rebellion. Liberating the planet will cause the
rebellions popularity to skyrocket often causing several
neutral systems to join and imperial systems to uprise.
Then you can liberate the imperial system which are pro
rebels and soon you control the whole sector. I once
conquered an entire sector (sluissi) by day 34 using 2
corvette`s, and a fleet carrier carrying 4 Y-wing`s &
2 X-wing`s, commanded by Han Solo. P.S. You can prepare
for planetary shields by having a good spy, like Chewbacca
tagging along.
Take a planet:
--------------
First target an enemy system and bulid 8 either bulwark
battlecruisers or 8 super star deystroyers and commence
a planetary bombardment (which will deystroy all their
defenses) then invade the system with 12 or more regiments
(this should elimanate all chances of a uprising) then
continue to run diplomacy missions until the planet is
loyal to you.
Take a planet...the easy way:
-----------------------------
Chose a planet you wish to take over. Invade with a fleet
large enough to hold the system. Once you have a blockade
of the system bring a strong force character (jedi Luke or
vader) onto one of the ships. Send them to take out whatever
generals they have controlling ground forces. Once thats
done you can send them to take out the shields and defenses
as many times as necessary with very little risk to themselves.
After defenses are down you can incite uprising until they
turn to your side without losing any ground forces or wasting
time with diplomacy.

While playing the rebels send Luke via a correlian corvette to a neutral
planet and sabotage whatever there is, mines, shields...after luke reachs
combat value of 230-250 send spys to imperial planets and find darth vader.
after finding him send luke to the same planet, the mission doesent matter.
both of them will engage into combat and most case luke fails, but his values
increase immidiatly to +10 combat +5 espionage as well as diplomacy. try
to blockade the planet which is vader on, so you prevant him escape to another
planet. it would be wise to eliminat ground troops and enemy generals so you
can decrease the chance luke gets injured. you can either keep some other
characters in your fleet in case luke gets captured. special troops will
do well either. anyway, after while luke reachs combat value of 800 espionage
500 and diplomacy 300. and i mean before he goes to dagoba. after returning
from dagoba his attributes will much higher. when luke reach status jedi kni!
ght and is in the same place with leia, she learns to use the force, because
she is as well a skywalker. her stats will increase nearly as quik as luke
with the same method. in the end i got luke skywalker with these stats
combat 2000 espionage 1400 diplomacy 550. leia: combat 800 espionage 400
diplomacy 900.
with these high stats every jedi training is a 100% succes as well increase
the stats of the jedi student attributes very high. after a couple of training
every of my student got over 400 combat 400 espionage as well high diplomacy
ratings. after this luke is invincible, nothing can stop him, nearly every
mission, dont matter how hard it is he will prevail, even if send alone to
a heavily defended planet.
the same method will work with the emporer to, but in the earliyer stage
it is hard to infiltrate courascant and the emporer hardly leaves his home
planet but sometimes is just happened. so keep your eyes open.

I don't know of any cheats but I can offer some pointers.
A really cheap trick to do when starting out as either side is to make the cheapest ships you can (such as transports) and send them to blockade the enemy's planets which stops the enemy from collecting that planet's resources. If the enemy has a force around that planet, you can easily turn away without losing your ship. This works great up untill the enemy gets interceptor technology, but by that time you'll be far more advanced than the enemy.
If you plan to use a planet for any kind of production, then make it all of one type (ex. all shipyards). This will make the production run so much quicker. Be sure to put a couple of shield generators on any production planet to protect against orbital bombardment.
Lastly, make the inescapeable prison barge. Make the slowest ship you possibly can (such as a transport) and fly it from one end of the galaxy to the other. Prisoners can not escape while the ship is enroute.
I hope that helps.

I would suggest:
http://gamefaqs.com
http://cheatplanet.com
http://game-revolution.com
Those I think are the best for cheat, codes and walkthroughs ever. I think gamefaqs is by far the best.
