Probably the person with the personality but it really depends on the person. Sure, some people are good-looking and have great bodies but how far does that go? Maybe a roll or two in the hay. I need someone I can really connect with. I've know guys who were very hot physically but once I conversed with them I realized I could have a better conversation with my dog. Then there were guys who weren't physically attractive that I've had great conversations with. I remember one guy I worked with who would be technically classified as "ugly" but I thought he was very sexy. But then there are hot people who also have the personality and not so hot people who don't. I apologize for being so long-winded.

Unpopular and "ugly". Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I also often find that people who I at first don't find attractive grow on me if I like their personalities and spend a lot of time with them. A lopsided smile can become cute and endearing, a little extra weight can become plush chubiness, etc., etc..
I could care less about popularity at all, and I don't care for people with bad or bland personalities, no matter how good-looking.

Appearance is only at the skin deep..ugly attitude makes them ugly but if you get to know that person they can be the most beautiful person

Who would I choose for what?
For a life together? Personality wins. But for an evening of genital wrestling, why not go for the good stuff.
I also really think that, within reason, our personalities affect our appearance. I don't see many gorgeous bitter people, or many happy-go-lucky hideous ones.

I can't stand people with nasty attitudes, especially if they're sexy, so I'd choose the first one.

Well, initially probably the cute one. But, as I got to know her, I'd probably leave her. Then the ugly girl would be there, and I would fall in love.
