the moving parts on a dryer that will cause this are the bearings on the rollers, or the motor itself. Most likely the rollers since they are plastic and have to support the weight of wet clothes. Very easy to repair but you have to pull the dryer out and get under the skin or remove it. The skin on dryers and washers for that matter is razor sharp so be careful. Best to get the model and purchase the rollers ahead of time. If it turns out to be the motor, still replace the rollers. they are cheap and will eventually wear out anyway. If it is the motor, I have no advise other than replace it, I'd recommend having a pro do that. If the belt is going, it probably won't squeel. They usually have teeth but the bearing that holds the belt tension may be wearing. Possibly just some oil on the bearing wold help. Replacing the belt can be a hassle but if you are in there and replacing the rollers, it can't hurt to replace it.

Might be the belt. Could also be the bearings. Belts average $5 to $15. Bearings/roller set maybe $24 to $85 depending on the model.

If you are handy, its no big deal to install. (Pay attention to how the belt is wrapped around the motor pulley and tension pulley. Better yet, draw it on an inside cover with indelible marker before you take the old one off.
