If you want to get in really good shape join your school's wrestling team. I wrestled in middle school and high school. Coach would work our butts off and there was not way you could have a gut. I don't think you need to lose weight you just need to get in shape. If you don't want to wrestle try another of your school's sports team. It is also a good way to make friends.

It's good that you start now, and not start when your 200 pounds. We have about 350 million people in the USA, and 120 million of them are either ext overweight or Obese.

Stop drinking all soda's, stop drinking milk, stop drinking all juices. No FAST FOOD, you know what is bad. If it has sugar in it, don't eat it.
Only drink water, do cardio 35 mins a day for 6 days a week, when you do set ups hold a 5 pound weight or more.

Working out is fun, and its more fun if you get a friend to do it with you.
Good Luck

Hey Johnny.

You are not too much over weight. You have just started to solve your problem. Because you have realized that you are over weight (yet not by very much) you are on the rode to recovery. All you need to do is eat foods that are not loaded in fats and sugars and exercise regularly. After all, you are 13 years old and are 5,' 6" tall and you weigh 128 lbs. That's not grossly over weight. You are a normal kid and all you need to do is to exercise regularly. Good Luck Kid. You are on the right track.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

Eat sensibly, and let your body grow. You are too young to worry about diets, unless your genetics (parents and relatives) indicate your family has an obesity problem. Just find out what exercises tone a "gut" and work on that end. But, again, eat healthily (low glycemic carbs, no trans fats, no partially hydrogenated anything in the list of ingredients, moderate protein (helps build muscle) and monounsaturated fats (olive oil, avocado, almonds).

take your dog for a walk if you have one, play basketball with some friends, just get some more daily exercises in your routine and you'd feel so much better.
also, cut back on those "bad" foods (french fries, soda, chips, fast food anything) replace with some "good" foods(yogurt snacks, fruit snacks, fresh fruits, veggies,)also drink lots of water that is natures purifier.drink more 1%,2% or skim milk,no whole milk it has more fat in it.just try to get some healthy habits now.in no time you will be feeling a whole lot better and may even lose that "gut"
