No we aren't fighting for oil. That's just a liberal BS ploy to swing you to their side. You have to look at it like these conspiracy freaks have never served in the military so they just don't have a clue and they make things up. You have to complain to the oil companies. They are the ones stealing from you. I remember when we had regular gas. Not unleaded but regular. The unleaded was more expensive so the oil companies stopped making regular gas. No more cheap gas but here's the rub. The lead had to be put in the gas in order to make it regular. Gas comes naturally unleaded but yet they charge more for the unleaded.
Go figure.

Actually if US troops weren't fighting gas would be cheaper because the Iraqi Shiites would quickly wipe out the vast minority Sunni terrorists/insurgents which would allow them to ship out lots more Iraqi oil that just so happens to be located in their territory. More oil coming out of Iraq means lower prices for you.

You are paying so much for gas because you go to the gas station rather that siphoning it out of you neighbor's car.

Because the government keeps it lower than the rest of the world so that we don't have to pay 5 or 6 dollars a gallon.

You must be in California or someplace where they stick on extra state taxes! We're $2.42 in Ohio! Prices have jumped up recently because they are now making the switch from winter formulations to summer formulations.

I think Hurricane Katrina hurt the prices. The whole Gulf Coast is popular for oil rigs, and alot of them were destroyed and many of the workers moved elsewhere.

Because you want to drive your car unnecessarily like most of us.If we drive half of what we do now they will be forced to sell the gas at cost price.

You are lucky, I'm paying 3.49. The troops don't have anything to do with it, we have no oil shortage it's your precious Demo's in office who need to do something about it like they said they would!
