it still seems white at the top

its not quite the red i expected though. Its kind of purpley red and still some white edging through the binoculars. (south uk)

This is as far as it goes, it is not a total eclipse tonight (South Coast of England)

I'm in Scotland it's 11.20 and i can still see it but it's a spooky red colour - this is amazing - nice to be able to share comments with others all over the world too - nice 1 for strating the thread!

Can't see any white here in Leicestershire. It is so strange looking - especially as it was SO bright earlier, now it's really dark and gloomy. Cool experience and a perfect night for it!
