I was just wondering after listening to 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' and 'Vertigo'.

Yes, in a sense.
In the early days of the band (around 1980-1982), Bono, Larry and Edge were members of a christian group in Dublin. The group was pressuring them to quit the band, but, luckily, Adam and manager Paul McGuinness brought them back.
I don't believe that any of them are regular church-goers. Bono has said before that he has some problems with organized religion, but they (with the exception of Adam) are believers and there are definitely religious undertones to many of their songs. For example, "40" off the War album (1983) was based on Psalm 40. "Until the End of the World" from Achtung Baby (1991) is about is about Jesus and Judas and how Judas committed suicide after identifying Jesus with a kiss in the Garden of Gethsemane.
I could go on forever listing examples like these.

dont know if they practice now but they all were born in christianity,.,, sunday bloody sunday refers to a day in the history of N Ireland, involving a mass shooting......it became known as bloody sunday

Yes they are!!! all of them are christians!! Bono is definitly the most religious of them! their music is some what christian based as well. have you heard a lot of their music? If you have then you'll know what i'm talking about....there is a song called "40" which is from psalm 40...word for word! It's beautiful!!! there are many other songs that have bible references in them as well.....
I am a huge fan of them!!!!!

If you read their lyrics, there is a lot of religous reference and innuendo in it.
