Is it normal for a 14 year old boy not to be able to hit three pointers with form shooting i cant even it the rim with form shooting the only way i get them in or hit the rim is by chucking it what excersiese should i do to make me able to hit 3s with form shooting

You need to eat some pink salmon and do lots of push ups. If you cant throw the ball to the rim from 3 point land, you should be practicing shots from the free throw line and in.

it totally depends on your size, yo u many not have the leg stregth to support your shooting form when at a distance.

A good drill for that is to start about 10 to 12 feet away from the basket and shoot set shots, no step ins just keep your feet square and shoot it. After you make 5 or 10 take once step straight back and start over with set shots. When you get to a point where you shooting form changes thats where your shooting range is.

Set shots show the leg strength a person has because it eliminates the momentum a person can create by steping into a shot. So when you find your range, everyday go out and keep doing the set shot exercise and your legs with start to develop and your range will expand.

Ha, I used to have that problem. The solution is very easy. Practice your form until it comes naturally. Start at the front of the basket and shoot. For every make, step back. Don't step foward if you miss. Once you get to the Three Point line, shoot with your form. Doesn't matter if you miss. You can also lift weights to get muscle.

Practice. Practice. Practice.
Start close to the basket. Keep shooting from that range until you can do it with your eyes closed, then take a step back. Keep doing that, and before you know it, you'll get it.

dont worry about 3s.. until you can hit then from the outside 3s arent that important especially if you can get into the lane and dominate..
