well i got a new band today and we wrote a song. problem: no lyrics yet. none of can write them either. PLEASE HELP ME!!! oh yeah. no i do not want love song lyrics...

what kind of musician are you if you can't write your own lyrics? geez. ok heres some ideas: use events from your own lives and your own experiences, or girls, or things that you want or dream of. brainstorm some lists and throw them into a song. there ya go.

ok just pick one of these topics:
sadness because people around you are dying
anger because of stupid a$$es
anger because people around you are dying
being broken hearted
religious
pointless anger

ok you can write lyrics that make sense or things that are completely random. as long as the song itself sounds good, you could be singing about purple monkeys swimming in pudding and it would still be a hit. Nirvana got a lot of dough from "smells like teen spirit" which had the most random lyrics ever.

and btw those topics are just really popular and really easy to write about. write whatever comes to mind. write about a bad day, a good day, the first time you got you instrument, etc.

What do you need help with? Lyric writing in general? If that's the case send me a message via my profile, I've writen a ton of lyrics and some guitar/bass/drum parts. All of my works would probably total over 500 songs but I've lost a lot of them over the years.

Try using the lyrics "Falling from grace" because they sound cool. If you need inspiration you should try listening to Marilyn Manson's CD Antichrist superstar or any other of his CDs. Tell me if you ever get famous.

just think of the things you love. you can get inspired by anything. talk with your band and see what you all have in common and write a song about it.

write about something bugging you in your life or something you belive in that no one else does. listen to songs by taking back sunday, fall out boy(earlier songs), panic!at the disco,ect. to get an idea of punk songs.

Think of a problem, or something that angers you. Then put it in song form and scream from the bowels of your lungs! =] hope this helps! (credit me when u get famous)
