No you cannot. Its like measuring how much light enters the atmosphere, changes from moment to moment depends on the environment. IQ really just tests a persons ability to recognize and remember sets of things. It really tests the bandwidth and storage of someone's brain. What an IQ test fails to deliver is the person's ability to adapt, converse, associate, and their overall sense of perception - which is probably more important above all else.

Generally speaking their are many genius status people who just cannot function normally in society because of issues with their abilities to communicate and adapt. They can memorize and understand an entire book but if you ask them a simple question pertaining to social interaction, you might as well talk to an 8ball. People are too complicated and dynamic to be gauged in such a general manner. On one day, I can be a total whiz and then the next day I can just be a clueless moron because of some problem that may have happened, or I didnt eat or sleep well.

Sometimes street-smarts goes alot further than overall intelligence. I think there are three parts to a person's fundamental potential. Intelligence, Knowledge, Creativity/Cleverness. The smartest person would be able to survive on the harsh urban streets and the cut throat halls of an Ivy League school, while still being able to converse with people with great ease.

You can measure aspects of a persons intelligence but not their overall intelligence. Tests such as comprehension tests and psychological tests can tell a lot about a person's intelligence level.
Yet people in Mensa have a smarts that really make no sense to me
They have an intelligence of their own. Like one example of a Mensa question
A company wanted some work done. They were going over bids and they threw away one bid without even opening it. Why?
The answer was because it was the competition

Now my logic tells me if it was the competitions why are they looking for someone to do the work instead of doing it themselves

BOOK smart and NO common sense!!!

General intelligence it's a fake concept. IQ gives an idea about how the brain works. Intelligence is specific to each domain. Like you can be intelligent in architecture and at the same time stupid in medicine. This way you can measure intelligence.

Well, scientifically speaking, you could measure someone's potential intelligence by measuring the amount of neuron connections in their brain. However, in a practical sense, you can't. Intelligence is an opinion.

I think you can measure the potential one has.
But someones use of intelligence, I dont think so.
We all view intelligence differently, and there are different types of intelligence.

it is exactly like measuring words,

i dont know why people dont understand something they think of on their own, and think that it is something that doesnt even exist,, that is one of the causes of all the problems in the world
