I recently moved here and one of my good friends is coming down during spring break to visit me. I want to show her austin and how awesome it is....what are some really good places to take her, more outdoors that can show her the weird/orignal side of austin?!

Definitely check out some SXSW shows. Meat Puppets are coming!

For outdoors, go to barton springs or kick it on the hike and bike trails, both also abundant sources of weird people.

Take her to a show at Alamo Drafthouse! People are always real impressed that you han have an actual dinner and watch an actual movie AT THE SAME TIME!

Go out on the Drag or South Congress. There's always something to do there and a plethora of weird/original people and places to check out.

Have Fun!

Take her to sixth, in the daytime and show her the architecture of the driskall, the capitol, the art museum. Show her the deaf school and take her for a drink at el mercado, south 1st.
Show her Barton Springs and drive her out to Marshall Ford.
Take her for a walk on Guadelupe and into the little shops.
Have fun.
Go to Lammes and get her a praline or two!!

there is tons to see and do in austin, especially in spring time. but be warned about spring break, that usually falls during the SXSW festival and the town gets pretty crowded. just plan ahead somewhat and be prepared for heavier crowds.
