I noticed this tendency especially with those at level seven.

I think it's because they don't like it when something they do or like is attacked by the question and they know deep down inside they have no defense against the questioner's attack. The question points out the flaw and seeks some justification, which is usually missing in action. Deal with that!

It says they can't answer the question, so they are trying to bring the questioner down with them. I see it a lot in the religion section. People don't have a real response, so they attacker the asker and people who answered.

It depends on what the question is. Many times, truth is hate to those that hate the truth. I've been called racist many times. There are other times where the questioner is subtly taking a cheap shot at a specific group or specific sex. I am able to correctly answer them while, at the same time, offending them. They can't handle it, and they call me rude or some other name.
Many times it's a stupid question, and it deserves a smart *ss answer.

It all depends on the subject.

I think that it shows a lack of respect for the person asking the question. It could also be the sign of someone who has a problem admitting that they don't know the answer to a question or who may disagree but has no well-thought-out reason to put forth for their disagreement.

Yean, but it does depend on the quality of the question. Many are not questions, as such, but a rant on some particular agenda.

By the time you get to level 7, you've lost count of the "If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys" type gibberish.

A lot of times when someone does something like it's because they really do not have a good answer so they just have to say something in order to get the points.
But then it does takes all types of people to make the world go around.............

Are you really wanting an honest answer?

It says that they are aware of the fact that you aren't truly wanting an answer to a question so much as you are wanting a chance to vent and hoping someone on here will agree with you and say, I know what you mean, and I hate that too!

Haha. You know, kinda like now.

By the way, you are certainly one to talk giving this answer you wrote:

So maybe you can just, I don't know, answer your own question there smarty pants!
