Well, the woman and the baby are sharing the same body. The man can leave at any time, and many do. Ultimately, it is the woman's choice, because it is the woman's responsibility. Women in healthy relationships do not often choose to have abortions; it is the women who are not in the position to raise a baby who have abortions. It is their choice, and you will never know how difficult that choice can be.

I think that abortion is a very two-folded issue. If a woman was raped, she should choose if she doesn't have the baby. But if a woman wasn't raped, then I think that she should have the baby and if she doesn't want the baby she could give the baby away to an orphanage.

In some extreme cases abortion can be justified. However, what about a man's right to chose. Many bcome fathers without their consent. Many have their babies aborted without their consent. And some men really mourn the loss of that child. They feel the girl murdered their baby and destroyed a part of him. Shouldn't an abortion be a mutual decision? Just don't have sex with anyone you wouldn't want to the father/mother of your child. Sex is an adult activity with adult responsibilities. Keep it sacred, rather than a casual indoor sport.

if it's a baby then women and their husbands (if they go along with it) should be executed for infanticide, but i haven't heard anybody advocating that. bleeding heart pro-lifers want to make abortion illegal as babykilling, but don't believe in the death penalty for girls and women and the fathers who get abortions. this is a freudian slip of sorts, that pro lifers don't truly truly consider a fetus to be as valuable or human as a born baby.
and of course, the most grand and notorious abortionist is GOD. the 'intelligent designer' was so oblivious of the 'sanctity of human life' that he did a fairly poor and moronic job of designing women's reproductive organs, resulting in millions of miscarriages each year. i consider miscarriages to be GOD's abortions.

Women have a right to choose! unfortunately, our society has misplaced where that right exists. The right to choose is that she has a right to decide if she will or will not have intercourse with a man. Unfortunately, our society has said "do what feels good and if you don't like the consequences-kill it". No one has to have sex, they choose to (male and female). If you choose to do something, you also choose to live with the consequences. The mentality of "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime".

If a woman is raped or risks dying in childbirth, surely she has the right to choose?
But, abortion should NEVER be used as a form of birth control.
In that case she should give the baby up for adoption, simple as that.

well a fetus is not a living human being, because "if a fetus is a human being how come the census doesn't count them? if a fetus is a human being then how come when there is a miscarriage they don't have a funeral? If a fetus is a human being then how come people say we have 2 children and one on the way instead of saying we have 3 children? Not every ejaculation deserves a name" George Carlin

The woman has the right to choose with whom and when she lies down with..the choice should end there.
As far as those fools that talk about the "rape and life or death" choices...these account for LESS than 2 % of the abortions and could be legislated for...so that argument is NOT valid.
