According to Mr. O'Reilly - Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Agency ,in the summer of 2003, launched Operation Predator to target individuals who make and consume child pornography worldwide. It is expensive to purchase and, because of the Internet, the distribution of this evil material has become easy. Have a credit card, you can get it.

One of those who used a credit card to purchase child porn is attorney Charles Rust-Tierney, the former President of the American Civil Liberties Union in Virginia. Tierney was arrested and charged on February 23rd.

The New York Times ignored the story entirely. So did NBC News, CBS News, CNN and ABC News.

Opinions?? Is it an important issue or are there more important things to worry about besides child pornography?
Was this man really protecting your rights or his own need for child porn ,when in his ACLU positionhe fought against any filtering of objectionable material in VA libraries?

First of all... Bill O'Reilly sucks!!! However, I don't think this has been blown out of proportion. Tierney wasn't ignored in the news...I saw the story on more than one news channel. He needs his stuff removed, then to slide down a razor blade slide with an alcohol pool at the bottom. He is that sick.

Where Billy is blowing it out of proportion is by attempting to use the story to smear the entire ACLU and to draw a false connection between this guy's membership of the ACLU and the ACLU's position on internet filters in public libraries.

Of course when real news outlets look at the story on it's own merits and give it the attention it deserves, Billy accuses the media of a left-wing bias and cover-up.

If the guy had still been the leader of the ACLU, then it would be big news--as big as, say, Ted Haggard or Mark Foley. But he isn't and so it isn't.

I don't know, maybe you should have been a sex slave when you were a child for many years, that way we can say, "oh, well we were trying to protect the ACLU which is much more important that your little insignificant life, otherwise we might have come saved you."
I think you would feel worthless if that had happened to you in real life. Don't try to say well it didn't. It is happening to someone right now.
Child porn must stop and violaters be heavily prosecuted. Heavily.
