Dreams are your brain interpreting senses you took in during the day but haven't processed yet. For example, If you weren't paying attention during the science class about photosynthesis, then you might dream about plants. Dreams don't really have much meaning, but they can be enjoyable.

Many humans "need" to feel in touch with something. They want to know the future.
I believe dreams are based on things you've experianced, either recently, or in the past. I never imagine that they have a hidden meaning.
Is this dream thing such a stretch? After all you've got people who think tea leaf debris in the bottom of their cup has meaning, wrinkles in their palms, Tarot cards and crystal balls. Jeez. If this was that easy, would George Bush keep screwing up!!!

Dreams are part of the subconscious. And therefore some people consider that to have some sort of bonding with the brain, and spiritual meanings.

Because the human mind wants a prediction, or an explanation for why things happen. It's a natural human response to stress or other emotions.

well, from a certain point of view they do. They mean that what is in your dreams is on your conscious or subconscious. Yesterday, I was dreaming of being flushed down the toilet. It was because we needed to fix our plumbing and I was thinking about it all week.

I guess it's because some of us want to know, "Why?"
"Why did I dream this?" "Where did this dream come from?" Especially if the dream contains things and people we are not familiar with, and what is our subconscious trying to tell me?

it depends the way you look at it because some people are very religious and believe that dreams they have(that r bad) are meant to be stopped by he/she. in other cases dreams might not mean anything at all depnding on what they dreamt about

I think that dreams have meaning because usually, mine do! They often warn me of something that might happen, and others are just plain silly!
Dreams are connected to your subconcious, which tries to lead you where you need to go! Its just what I believe! :D

They do. I had a dream I would be on Broadway, but it was the school play. I inspired a play, and I inspired a play in real life.
