Is it really CO2 or is just the sun heating up? This would tell us.

you are correct. The only information I recall is that some of the polar CO2 ice features of Mars are shrinking. This would imply either a huge coincidental natural environmental change on Mars coincident with man-made changes here, or that the sun is putting out slightly more energy than before.

There is some evidence that the warming began before man's influence. I think it's a combination of natural and man-made events, and that it will culminate in a climatic cooling, when cloud cover increases due to the extra water vapor in the atmosphere.

There really is a green house effect going on in the world. Go ahead Dubya, admit it! The reason we know more about the atmospheric temperatures of other planets is our astronomical measuring instruments have become more advanced. If you want to know what the Greenhouse effect run amok is, look at Venus. Earth's Twin but because of the atmosphere being mosly 100% CO2 the surface temperature is 900 deg. F.

I don't think we have detailed enough observations to make that determination. But we can easily tell if the sun is "heating up" and that is not what is causing global warming.

Mars seems to be getting warmer. However, we probably don't have enough data to say that Mars is warming up in the same way the Earth is.
