I got a laptop in october 2006 but I bought at the wrong time and just before dual cores were publically avalible so im stuck with a sinlge 1.47 GHz Core Intel Celeron M410 Processor which is quite slow and XP Home also Ive had problems with it but that down to me and not the laptop however Im just wondering if there is a laptop that fits to this spec:
- 2.0 GHz Dual Core Proccessor (intel) or above
- 1GB RAM or above
- Microsoft Vista Home Premium
- 256 MB Graphics card
- Card Reader
- Wireless
- Dual Layer DVD RW & CD RW

Please give links to websites that I can buy from or names.
Althought I wont be buying one just yet I may look into it for the future but by then they will have quad cores.

you can easily find a laptop with these specs at any computer store, the only thing is the processor your asking for is hard to find, let me just point out one thing for you, on new processor the clock speed is not everything, the type of processor is way more important, for example if you have 3 laptops one with pentium M 2.0 ghz the other with intel core duo 1.8ghz and the third with intel core 2 Duo 1.6ghz, the one with core 2 duo will perform the best, because of the way its built, the computer you have right now is slow because of the celeron processores, celeron cpu's are alot cheaper because they have less cache (which is memory on the processor used by processor only) which makes it way slower.

anothere thing is the video card, if you need it for gaming then you want to make sure its not an integraded video card, you would want it to be either nvidia or radeon graphic card for gaming, if its not for gaming then the integraded one will work fine, but remeber that the integraded one use the system memory, so if you get a laptop with 1GB memory and 256MB intergraded graphics card its only going to show 756MB of memory when you go to windows because the rest is dedicated to the video card.
like i said laptop like these are available everywhere like at circuitcity, bestbuy and all stores like that. i personally recommend either toshiba or hp laptops, here's some good one's from circuitcity's website.

There are TONS of laptops out there that meet those specifications. Dell or HP is the cheapest. If you want more quality then you might want to go with Lenovo or Sony.
