Did something simular for years. My thing was lines from movies and television. I thought it was taking a short-cut, relaying a lot of information as quickly as possible.

Some people took it as my being unable or unwilling to use my brain to come up with something original. I countered with my feeling that people talked too much, and this often made communication more difficult.

I use it more judiciously, now, but I still think you can say a lot with a reference to a popular show, song, etc.. Like in Batteries Not Included, the movie, I knew what the guy was saying.

no not at all u talk the way u want and express ur feelings the way u want
dont worry about it if people say ur dumb or suttin ignore them i actually think it could b a cool thing 2 do!
