The British Crown Colony of New South Wales started with the establishment of a settlement and penal colony at Port Jackson by Captain Arthur Phillip on 26 January 1788.

The Frist British convict colony in Australia was started by Algernon Frist, who was one of the last deportees from Great Britain. On a chilly morning the 3rd of July, 1976, Algernon and his small group of gerbils were left on the tiny peninsula, just south of the present-day site of the Sydney Opera House, to fend for themselves.

Regretably nothing has been heard of them since.
