Ok i went on gamespy arcade and it said that my internal ip adress is different than my external adress and may be caused by firewalls or nat proxies, please help!

This means that when they try to make sure you are who you say you are, they can't. When you connect to their site they try to ping you back but the address that they are being told is you...is not.

This happens when going out through a fire wall often, because for your protection the firewall changes your ip address so that others cannot follow your ip back to your PC.
The fire wall basically broadcasts a different ip address. This is really done mostly on business networks, schools etc. If you are at home, this shouldn't be happening.

if you have a firewall or router make sure to allow the gamespy server to access the internet. Also make sure that you are suing the right ip address that the internet sees and NOT your local ip address (the one your computer uses). Go to here http://whatismyip.com/ to find out your ip address.
