Hi there. You can use the block site feature in IE if you want.

Tools, Internet Options..., Security tab, click on the Restricted Sites icon (red circle with line thru it), click Sites button, In the "Add this website to this zone" text box, type in the url you wanted block and click Add button. Click close button, and OK.

So next time you're tried to be redirected to that site, a popup should popup saying that site's blocked or restricted.

I'm sure there's other progs that will do the same (Net nanny etc)

Hope this helps

You could just put a bogus entry in your host file.

Edit the c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and put a line similar to

192.168.0.1 the_site_to_block

Replace the_site_to_block above with the actual site name.

Then open a command prompt window and enter the command

nbtstat -R

strongly recommend NetDog : http://www.netdogsoft.com
just add the website to "Always blocked website list", none will be able to open it. Also you can set passwords.
