Sears is replacing my Whirlpool Calypso FINALLLLLLY!!!! Which one is the best? The Kenmore Elite Oasis or Whirlpool Cabrio? I don't have much faith in Whirlpool right now, but maybe they changed after all the faulty Calypso's they sold.

I have all ready checked out consumer reports...and of course Sears wants to sell me whatever they get commission on.....I am open for suggestions too.

Kenmore products are actually made by Whirlpool. So are Kitchen Aid products (high end). Kenmore is made by Whirlpool for Sears. Kenmore products have a pretty good history. Most Whirlpool products perform very well, but it is certainly possible to get a bad product right out of the box, it does happen. Kenmore is a good work horse line of products, and usually a bit cheaper.

These are actually the same machines, just different labels. They are engineered the same. The Kenmore will be prettier and have better cycle options perhaps and will cost more, but they are made by the same company (Whirlpool) and these particular machines wash the same

I have heard negative reports on both. Go to www.consumerreports.org and check them both out. Also, do what I do- go to Sears and a few other big name stores that sell washer/dryers and check out what customer feedbacks are on there.
