Hi Kali!

Texas is a big state. It depends on exactly where you are.

The eclipse has already begun now (4:55 p.m. Central Time). You won't see any of it until the sun goes down, however, and that is not for almost 1 1/2 hours yet.

By the time the moon comes up, the total eclipse will already have ended. You will, however, see the moon rise PARTIALLY eclipsed, as a fat crescent with the wide end down.

In a short time, the crescent will fade to a mere bite out of the moon. The eclipse will end at 7:12 p.m. Central, less than an hour after sunset.

The further west you are in Texas, the less you see. At El Paso, the partial eclipse ends just about as the moon comes up, so people there will have to wait until the next eclipse, this summer, August 27-28th.
