i would put it on par with saving private ryan for their fighting scenes and realism, although i can only guess war in world war 2 would be like that. However, i find the russian army way more interesting due to their strategies and views (ie. 1 gun per 10 men, or something like that). Also, it has a much more action packed story and is more interesting to watch. Therefore, yes it is.

No, I liked Saving Prvate Ryan more. Enemy at the Gates is a good movie though.

Well...It is something "Saving Private Ryan"...which I can say the closer movie that can are really able to match with "Saving Private Ryan" in term of stunning opening....and it is base on true character in Russia....just that it focus on Romance....It is also another great war movie that talk about WW2....IF you want the best...try "Saving Private Ryan..."

Depends on what you're looking for in a war movie. Personally, it's one of my favorites. It's got great acting, plenty of action and it's based on real characters.
