You have to find the method of organization that works for you. Try a few things. If you are dedicated to it, you'll find what works. This is what I do for my bills:

1. I have a budget set up that details everything I will spend/save in the month and make sure that total equals my income so I
don't spend too much.

2. When the bill comes in, I check the statement and make sure it's correct. Then I prepare the bill for payment putting the stub in the envelope and putting the due date and amount I need to pay on a small stickie note on the envelope, and order all of my bills to be paid in due date order. I keep all of my bill paying supplies in a small plastic pencil box (like what kids use in school).

3. Once a week, when my hubby gets paid, we sit down together, and pay any bills that we can pay for the week. We are never late on making payments, and because we have the budget we aren't worried about if we can cover it or not.

Good luck!
