I was bowling last night, and I saw this girl who had a sweater on that looked clean under normal light, but once we started bowling under the "black" or uv lights, the back of her sweater lit up like a CSI crime scene. I know the four bodily fluids that can show up under a black light, but are there other things that show up as well?

Folks: I'm not looking for what clothes show up or a "why" explanation. I want to know what chemicals or common household items show up under a blacklight. Also, I know semen, blood, saliva, and urine show up under it, so no more of those answers.

black light is just a small part of the spectrum of visible light, if it is used any material you put under it looks different.
normally you see 'color' as the result of reflection and absorption of light on a surface. using black light means, everything is absorbed except whitish or flourescend colors.
So on a black shirt you not only see dust, or spots of reflecting substances you also see areas where there is a difference in absorption of light at all, as spots.
however most outstanding things to see are whitish or flourescend colours.
i think the term photoluminescent just emergesin my head, but i'm not sure wether this IS photoluminescence
