The answer is a form that is regional for some, archaic for others, but you may know it if you grew up with the King James Version of the Bible. It is:
COW - KINE
(Note this is related to the German forms -- Kuh - Kuehen.)
You'll find that plural form, for example, in the story of Joseph, when the Pharaoh tells Joseph his dream:
"And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow"
(Genesis 42:18)
