Music Man is my favorite. Other than that, A Standered Fender P-Bass is great.

Get a Fender Jazz Bass. I have one and they are great. The only thing that is bad on the bass is the bridge, so get a Leo Quan Badass II bridge. If you like classic rock, rock, funk, and other music like that, this bass is great. If you like punk and stuff like that get a fender p-bass. Again, get a Leo Quan Badass II Bridge for that. Fender is a great company and you should stick with that.
