why can't I pick him up? He's so damn good and he's not even available! please help

He is not a Major League player yet. Once he makes the roster he will be available.

Hughes is still half a season away from pitching for the Yankees.
That's why he's not available on Yahoo yet.

Yahoo did not upload newbies to their lists the perfect 2 years until eventually after their debut. You couldnt even snag them the day they were added to the roster it must be once they get a statistic.
