If grams wants a hot, young man then it's great for her regardless of if he wants her money.
Older people who chase younger people have to know on some level - even if they deny it - that they're most likely being appreciated for their money and not themselves as a person. But who cares - they deserve it because if they're shallow enough to want someone young and beautiful then they have to put up with the young person being shallow and only wanting them for their money.
The shallowness goes both ways here. If I were to want someone young and hot I would financially reward them for putting up with my old, grossness. I'm not living in a fantasy world where I'm so great I can have anyone I want and they'll put up with and look past my wrinkles and dentures when they could be with someone their own age.
