I have the entries listed as such underneath the logo:

* Lawn Maintenence * Aeration, Seeding
* Mulch, Topsoil * Irrigation
* Plant Installation * Ponds, Aquatics
* Bed Preparation * Patios, Walks
* Plant/Tree Service * Seasonal Flowers

Do any of these entries seem like they could be changed or re worded or even deleted to make it better?

I am British so I would put
Lawn maintenance and leave out 'aeration seeding'
as that is in lawn maintenance
I would change 'walks' to paths.
apart from those minor items it is fine

I agree with most comments already made, but I would qualify irrigation. Mention what you do with installation eg irrigation - installation and maintenance. A lot of companies install irrigation but don't want to correct problems or maintain it later. If you are in a small way and are happy to do maintenance work you might be surprised how much work you get. Most people don't even know how to change programs or alter sprinkler heads. The installation boys in my area won't do this type of work, so it's a window of opportunity.

I would also list your services down the page, so people can glance through quickly to see what you do eg"

* Lawn Maintenance
* Mulch & Topsoil, supply and application
* Irrigation - Installation and Maintenance
* Water Feature & Pond - Installation and Maintenace
* Garden Bed Preparation and Planting Service
* Patio and Path Installation - Paving a Speciallty
* Plant/Tree Consultancy

Make the type of service eg Mulch & Topsoil in bold letters, so people can look down the list and then see what you do and then check what you do suits their needs.

I'm in Landscaping and you don't want people ringing you all the time to ask you what you do, better to set it out then you should get genuine inquiries on work you want to do. Good Luck.

As someone who is currently looking for a landscaper but is completely clueless about what they can do it looks like you carry out a wide range of services, however personally I'm not sure what irrigation or aeration are or how i could benefit from them. If its a service for the average domestic client maybe put it in laymans terms for easy understanding.
Also, if you give a free quote mention that as thats what many people look for initially.
Mention the area covered - or no distance too far if prepared to go anywhere.
Try to separate the list slightly instead of it all being bunched up together, where nothing jumps out at you.
Good luck, and hope it works for you.

We have an acre and a half. I have a lawn service, but that is all they do, the lawn.

I am constantly looking for someone else for other work I need done.

I have worked for a National Seed company for 15 years so I am in and out of Garden shops daily.

It seems to me listing everything in the middle and smaller print is good. But in larger type under the name of your company in even larger type, you might say "WE ARE A FULL RANGE LANDSCAPE SERVICE" Then list the above.

Make sure to have your name on it with the Phone Number in large type. Then they immediately develop a personal contact.

Many times when I am looking at flyer's there is no persons name and the name of the company and the phone number DO NOT Jump out at me. I have to search the context to try to find it. And many times it is a service I would call for an estimate and potential work.

Good Luck.

You seem to have most everything covered and some really good ideas from responders.

I would list the individual tasks (main headings) in a bold font, indent with a smaller font for the sub entries.

Also a lot of people do irrigation, have you been trained and by whom.

Insurance is a must, don't think you won't make mistakes.

Free estimates is also a must for just starting out.

Landscaping is a business built on reputation and most of your customers will come from word of mouth by other customers. If you do good work and take care of your customers your business will grow quickly. Ensure you don't take on too much work and lose interest in your customers. Concentrate on quality not quantity.

It does look good, but maybe you could be more specific. Patios/walks for instance. Do you design and install the walks? Irrigation........ do you install sprinkling systems? What tree services do you offer? Will you cut down dead trees or do pruning? What lawn services other than aeration are offered? What about estimates .. is there a charge or are they free?

Just my opinion! Good luck to you in your new business!

You possibly need to capture the 'sizzle' of the steak, not just the meat cut, if you get my metaphor. Choose words that ooze the delights that a reinvigorated garden will give, with no input from the owner.

Advertisements should be targetted, preferably not to all living people, but to a section or more that you can really deliver unique service to as well as earn from. Consider whether you need a simple slogan to capture interest - 'Better Gardens Now' or something punchy.

Also, if you do landscaping, do you also do garden management, with a complete package for someone to keep their garden going, or to refresh it?

Overall, don't overdo lists, there is bound to be something left out that someone would want. Be as inclusive as you need to be, and catch all business that you need.

Work out what part of the market you really want and what makes your business different and best or is one of the better choices for it.

Good luck! Rob

I would possibly change to Ponds, and Aquatics to "Water Features"

You could also possibly delete "Plant Installation" It is kind of redundant.

Is your business insured? If so, you should mention it.... It gives the consumer a feeling that he can trust that the work will be done well.

You also could also mention that you are a local company, that cares about the "individual" needs of of each and every single customer.
