OK, first off, it may not be programs but files themselves. If you have a small harddrive, it may be programs, but something thats 60gig + is probably files. In the WORST case, it could be a multipling Virus or something that gets in and does just that, multiplies till your computer is full.

Open my computer, right click C drive>Properties>see how much you actually have for that drive. If its partitioned at like...20 or something, its probably programs.

Go to start, control panel, add remove programs. Id delete anything you don't use, stay away from things you don't know like windows stuff. You may have alot, maybe not. It all depends on the hard drive space. Also, I dont know if you have windows XP or somethign else.

Hope this helps, if it doesnt, email me with the question and details. I wont be on messenger till tomorrow, so I cant help directly.

Try these first

1) Go into Internet Explorer and clear your temporary files (Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files and Delete Cookies. Click the box that says delete offline content.)

2) Right-click on your drive and select the properties option. From there, click on the disk cleanup button. This will first only calculate what you'll save by doing certain things. You can then choose which options to perform.

3) Uninstall unneeded software. If you've loaded something but never use it, get rid of it.

your best bet is to get a new harddrive and set it up as a slave drive, then use it just for storage.... removing programs will free up some space, but if you download things like music, or if you have a digital camera and take pictures which you put on your computer you are just going to run out of space soon again.... invest in another hard drive

Go into "my computer" click it, then go into control panel
and find add/remove programs. Pick out some programs U
never use anymore, click on them, then hit remove. Helps
to get-rid of games if U no-longer play them. They can take up
quite a bit of space on your p.c.

First thing you should do is clean up your harddisk from all temporary stuff. download ccleaner and run it.

its free

I cannot give you recommendations about the programs you should remove, but buying an external harddisk and move some of your files to it could be a good idea.

Good luck
