Sorry for the rudeness of other answers. I think they misunderstood your question. (I hope I understand what you DID want!)

The word "Egypt" comes to English from Latin Aegyptus derived from the ancient Greek word Aigyptos (Αίγυπτος).

Though one ancient Greek writer claimed this meant "below the Aegean", almost all agree that the Greek name is from the Egyptian, ḥwt-k3-ptḥ, which means "Temple [literally 'house'] for the Ka [= 'soul'] of Ptah". Ptah was the name of one of the country's earliest gods. (The -os at the end of the Greek word is just a typical Greek ending.)

This name was originally applied to the city of Memphis (a sometime capital of the country) where that temple was located.
