Could be a variety of reasons. The first thing to do is download and install the latest drivers for your vid card. Get them from Nvidia, not the manufacturer. Next I would download and install the latest version of DirectX from M$'s site.
Now for 'sound doesnt matter to me'. To the game it might. I felt the same way until Doom 3 wouldn't play on my system. No sound card, just the mobo's onboard. I added a SoundBlaster with full 5.1 speakers and changed my tune. The game ran and sounded fantastic. Most newer games have Dolby Digital and onboard sound chips just can't handle it. In the game turn down the sound quality to the minimum or switch it off entirely. With it's minimum as '16 bit' it shouldn't matter but it's still a possibility.
Next up, you'll hate this one, uninstall and reinstall the game. You may have some corrupted files. It could of happened during the install or just part of Window$ usual hiccups.
Just for a perc, the 6200 overclocks nicely like most Nvidia cards. Check out the CoolBits link. I got ~435mhz (375 on my old 6200 OC) and 800mhz on the RAM (700 stock on the 6200 OC) on the one I had. Since yours might not be a OC (Over Clocked - out of the box) card, you should still get about the same numbers.

Guild Wars (and a lot of other games) seem to have problems with NVidia drivers. This is an NVidia issue, since the old drivers (6 months or older) seem to have no problem. Try downgrading to an older driver and try that.

In short, NVidia has these issues, because they are constantly trying to "tweak" their drivers, to get the best performance out of the newest games (like Splinter Cell Vegas). The problem is that this often comes at the expense of older games (like GW, WOW, Sims 2, etc).

And as was stated earlier, try turning down your video settings. AA, Detail, etc. This can have an effect on performance as well, especially if your system is bogging down trying to fill in all of these details.
