Tell them that you have/had made plans to stay with someone else for a couple of days and that you're sorry, but they need to leave. Or that you & _____ had plans to go shopping, to the movies or somewhere! And you need to get ready so they need to leave.
Be nice about it but firm, if they try to invite themselves to go with you~just say No! I have known people that have done that, they're nearly impossible to get rid of!!!
Best wishes in handling the situation.

Look at the clock then gasp, say you've lost track of time and while you have enjoyed their company you really need to do some other stuff. Then smile and lead them to the door, tell them again how much fun you've had, and if you want them to come back, let them know if not then don't say it, because they will.

Fall asleep, say you have to go and pick someone up, pretend you have food posioning, irritate them, insist on watching terrible movies, drop a bomb in the bathroom, have a fight with someone else in the house and make it really awkward for them, don't shower, suggest that you go out and then lose them on the way... be creative! ;) Good luck!

lol..start to act as if they have already left even when theyre around u...if theyre nice, theyll get the hint .examples...ignore them. dont include them in meals if u do now.never let them control the remote or channel and say somthin like this isnt ur house if they complain about it. act annoyed with them all the time. ect
or just sit and have a talk with them and kindly just outright tell them

You should just act real tired and start getting all boring and stuff. Once you completely bore them they will get tired. They might then ask to go. If you offer to ask them to leave because your tired, they'll probably accept to because they're so bored. Just try it and dont b shy. Good luck!

if its only been one night, say you are tired and plan to go to bed soon, if it's been a week and they are out of town guests at your home, take one of them aside and say you were only planning this visit for them to be there for a limited time and you need to be alone with your family now, [you have to be direct with some people.]

Get a friend to call you up with an "emergency", and tell your company that they will have to leave so that you can help your friend out.

is this in the morning or evening? morning-- you have somewhere to be at a certain time and need to get ready, etc. evening-- thats a tough one. i have a hard time too. could always use "gotta get up early", "need to shower and get to bed", or just an obvious hint like "thanks for the visit, see ya 'round".
