I guess you will have to be a Cardinals fan then, that's where all the Angels go...Eck, Edmonds, Spiezio, AK, Springer, Molina (couldn't get Jose or Bengie so took the next in line), Jeff Weaver last year... Even took Joe Torre out of the announcers booth years ago to be the manager....

I just hope they find room to call up Curtis Pride every once in a while, he plays with more enthusiasm than any player in baseball and always sparks the team.

I understand that you lost two of your favorite players, and classy guys too. But there comes a time when players begin to lose their skills and a team has to move on. Kennedy and Erstad were major contributors to the championship season in 2002, but they aren't the same players anymore, particuary Erstad. To put it bluntly, the Angles need offense badly and they weren't getting it with those guys. Instead of being upset about them leaving, I'd look forward to Howie Kendrick. The guy can flat out rake, and will probably win a batting title. He looked good last season when he was called up to stay. He will be much better than Kennedy, who never did hit lefties.

The Angel team was basically the same for years, much longer than most teams, but they needed to re-tool the offense, and probably would have even taken A-Rod if he had been out there.

Then that will be your loss. The Angels are looking to take the West this year.

Believe me, as a Tiger fan I was very upset when Randy Smith traded Brad Aumus to Houston a few years ago. I got over it. And I still stayed by my team.

If you love baseball, and like The Angels, then be a fan.

There may not be room on the bandwagon in September, once you fall off.

You got to get over that... Thats the problem with Angel fans, i live in Southern California and Angels fans for the most part suck (Im not an Angels Fan but i do go to about 10 games a year).... 1st. They never went to the games before 2002 season when they won the world series. 2nd. They dont even pay attention to the games when they go 3rd. Most of them have no idea what there talking about when it comes to baseball. 4th. Get over it, you dont want those old guys anyways.........

As a life time fan of baseball I understand your feelings, but as hard as it is, you have to understand that baseball is a business. Sometimes the team trades players that have been with them for many years, sometimes is the other way around and players sign with a different team for money. Learn to live with that, because is not only the Angels, this is true with all the teams. so...who are you going to root for.?As I said, is just business

Duuude those guys were fantastic 5 years ago when they won but this is 2002!!!!! Those guys are gettin old and they are slowed by injuries. You have to move on!!!!

Howie Kendrick is a hitting machine but they have to solve a problem at 1st base with either Morales or Kotchman.

Defensively they don't loose much in 2nd base because kendrick is a terrific fielder as advertised.

They are much weaker at 1st base tho.

You were a horrible Angels fan if you stop being a fan over the loss of players. It is the name on the front of the jesery that matters, not the one on the back.
