Landslide by Smashing Pumpkins

I took my love, I took it down
I climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
’til the landslide brought it down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing cause i’ve
Built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older, too

Well, I’ve been afraid of changing cause i’ve
Built my life around you
Time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m getting older, too
I get older, too

I took my love and took it down
I climbed a mountain, I turned around
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
The landslide brought it down
The landslide brought it down

Hi, the name of the song you are talking about I believe is Landslide by Fleetwood Mac off their self titled album. The lyrics go like this.... I took my love and I took it down climed a mountain and turned around and I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills till the landslide brought it down. Oh mirror in the sky what is love? Can the child within my heart rise above? Can I sail through the changin ocean tides Can i handle the seasons of my life? I don't know I don't know Well I've been afraid of changing because I've built my life around you. But time makes you bolder even children get older and Im getting older too. So take my live take it down climb a mountain and turn around and if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills well the landslide will bring it down the landslide will bring it down.

I love that song and I am a big fan of Stevie Nicks from her time with Fleetwood Mac to her Solo stuff. So I knew what you were talking about right away. If you are interested there is a sight called stevienicks.com where you can get songs and such from Stevie Nicks even songs from when she was with Fleetwood Mac. Hope this helped. Enjoy the music!!!

Stevie Nicks wrote the song "Landslide" and recorded it originally while she was in Fleetwood Mac. Here she describes the experience of writing it: http://www.inherownwords.com/landslide.htm

It is truly a masterpiece, and as such has been covered by MANY artists, including the Dixie Chicks and Smashing Pumpkins.

I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Til the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love

Can I handle the seasons of my life

Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder, even children get older
And I'm getting older too

Oh, take my love, take it down
Aha, climb a mountain and turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down

And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down

There's two versions of this song:
"Landslide" by The Dixie Chicks
