I am going in May and I'm being vaccinated for Hepatitis A&B. They also recommend Tetanus, Polio, Diptheria, Rabies, and Measles. Check out the CDC web site. They will tell you everything.

Last time I was there I needed typhoid, tetanus and cholera vaccines. Hepatitis was recommended, but I never take that - I'm always really careful what I eat/drink and where I swim.

You are reommended to have Thyphoid, Hepatitis A and Diphtheria. I would also advise taking some anti diarhoea medication as now matter how careful you are you will probably get "Pharoah's Revenge". If you are just going to the tourist areas you are unlikely to need anti-malarials.

No! There are far too many Egyptians! Let them get their own vaccinations! It would cripple the NHS!

Friend has just come back from holidaying in Egypt and he says it the worst holiday he as ever had, he says its dirty, full of street beggars and he wouldn't recommend it to any one. I had a similar report from my sister who went there 3 years ago.
